Montecristo 90th Anniversary - A Quiet Tribute to Heritage & Craft

In 2025, Montecristo marks ninety years of timeless craftsmanship. To honour this milestone, Hunters & Frankau presents a rare House Reserve release: a curated selection of decade-aged cigars, matured under perfect conditions to reveal depth, harmony, and refined Cuban character.

Only 135 individually numbered boxes have been created, each containing ten cigars from the original vitolas that introduced Montecristo to the world in 1935 — No.2, No.3, No.4, and No.5. Complementing this historic tribute are 100 numbered boxes of the celebrated Montecristo 520, the acclaimed 2012 Habanos Limited Edition.

Every cigar carries the Aged & Rare House Reserve foot band, while each box bears a commemorative band marking this singular anniversary - a release shaped for collectors, and reserved for the fortunate few.

Hunters & Frankau’s House Reserve - Patience, Provenance & Perfection

For over a century’s turn, Hunters & Frankau has set aside Havana cigars of exceptional distinction - aging them in perfect temperature and humidity to preserve integrity, deepen character, and elevate complexity. These patiently matured treasures form the House Reserve, a discreet archive of rarity and provenance.

Since 2019, selected quantities have been released to the UK as Aged & Rare originals or within the distinguished Series 1790 humidors. Every cigar has been aged for a minimum of ten years, meticulously re-inspected, stamped “Revisado”, and accompanied by a signed Release Certificate confirming its date of manufacture, release, and rarity classification.

Each box bears its EMS mark, and every cigar is finished with the House Reserve foot band — an understated signature of authenticity and age.
